The company mission is the development (on its own patented projects) and the manufacturing of solid states laser sources, dedicated to industrial marking applications as well as to micro-processing applications (e.g. in the jewellery, medical and industrial fields.

Datalogic was established in 1993 as Laservall, a privately held company aiming to become the Italian centre of excellence for the design and the production of DPSS pulsed laser sources for spot welding applications.

Thanks to Laservall’s commitment towards continuous improvement, product reliability and highly competitive pricing, they became the foremost Italian manufacturer of DPSS pulsed sources to whom laser manufacturers worldwide look as a point of reference. In 2009 Laservall merged with Datalogic and is cconsidered among the top suppliers world-wide of DPSS laser sources for applications in automotive, packaging & machinery and electronics & solar industries.

In the mid nineties Laservall placed its first Q-switched CW Nd:Yag lamp pumped lasers for marking applications on the market. With the success of this product and considerable investment in research and development, Laservall subsequently created its diode pumped solid state lasers sorces for marking and other applications

Datalogic's new M3 Design™ philosophy (Marking Matched Mode), aims to optimize laser beam mode quality in order to fully satisfy all application requirements. Datalogic's innovative Violino™ and Sagitta™ DPSS laser sources embrace this new M3 Design^tm philosophy, and represents the state-of-the-art in the industry to which all the laser manufacturers aspire.

Datalogic’s new manufacturing facility in Sesto Salende (varese) opened in 2000, is dedicated to the production of DPSS laser sources and systems. A certified and controlled class 1000 clean room has greatly increased the quality of Datalogic’s sealed opto-mechanical components.
