Hard to Mark Material

CUSTOMER PROBLEM

The customer needs to mark serial and lot numbers on UHMWPE (ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene) as used in medical applications like joint replacement. In this instance IR lasers aren't effective because the material reacts irregularly.

DLA-LASER MARKING'S SOLUTION

DLA’s GreenLase 10W laser marker, 532 nm wavelength, can mark UHMWPE clearly in human readable applications. Small bursts are produced along the marking line giving and good legible mark as required. 160 mm F-theta lens covers a marking area up to 100 mm.
