Dichroic Filters

In fluorescence analyses, it is essential that the light source be segregated from the emitted spectrum from the fluorophore so as not to interfere with the analyses. In a dichroic filter, the excitation wavelengths are highly reflected while the emission spectrum is transmitted. Both these rays are incident at 45o. Iridian manufactures dichroic optical filters for both polarized and non-polarized light.

Iridian Dichroic Filters Advantage:

Iridian’s Dichroic filters exhibit excellent isolation that reduces background levels from excitation wavelengths. Like all Iridian filters, our dichroic filters use hard dielectric coatings and do not require cover glass for durability. This greatly improves the transmission levels compared to traditional filters. High transmission results in brighter imaging of stained tissue, shorter exposure times, better image quality and a reduced rate of bleaching.

Iridian also offers our Fluorescence Emission, Fluorescence Excitation and Fluorescence Dichroic filters as a set at a reduced price. Click here to see Iridian's Fluorescence Filter Sets.
