Laser Applications

Laser precision depends on accurate and durable optical filters that manipulate a laser beam to achieve the various goals of spectroscopy, fluorescence analysis, laboratory work and more. Iridian manufactures a range of standard optical filters and custom coatings for laser applications.

Our optical filters for laser applications include:

Iridian Laser Applications Advantage:

Iridian's advanced deposition technology fabricates optical thin films that are dense, mechanically durable and have relatively low stress levels. Iridian's filters use hard dielectric coatings that do.

Band Pass Filters

Bandpass filters (BPF) are used to transmit one or more bands of wavelengths while blocking (or reflecting) adjacent wavelengths over extended ranges.

Beamsplitters and Tap Couplers

Beamsplitter filters are typically used to split one beam into two beams through transmittance and reflectance.

Edge Pass Filters - Spectroscopy

Optical edge pass filters (EPF) are needed to isolate transmitted wavelengths from blocked wavelengths often in a sharp transition.

High Volume Low Cost Coatings

Iridian has the capability for very high volume, fast turn-around and low cost coatings. The volume can be more than 8000 lenses per day depending upon component size and coating thickness.
