Vernier Adjust Spacers allow for fine focus adjustment of the lens to the material. The Vernier Adjust Spacer is mounted above the gas jet manifold and focusing lens holder. When the vernier barrel is rotated, it raises (or lowers) the lens by 0.05 inches per full turn. A scale is marked on the tube to provide an exact reference of the location. The device is then locked into position when the proper distance is achieved.
