  • +/- 3, 5 or 10V Command
  • Optional 16-Bit Digital or PC Interface
  • High Quality Low Noise, Low Drift Components
  • Self Protection Circuitry with Diagnostic Signals and LED's
  • Class 1 PID Loop- with performance enhancing Integrator term
The QuantumDrive-1500 (QD-1500) are the smallest Class-1 Servo Amplifiers in the market. It uses low noise components for high Signal to Noise operation and low drift components to reduce the effects of thermal variations. Its servo architecture includes Class-1 servo control with a Position, Integration, Differentiation (PID) loop and additional servo terms for extra stability and control. An automated tuning process is used to set the appropriate filters for each unique mirror and galvanometer combination to maximize system bandwidth. The result is faster, more accurate servo control. The QD-1500 has on-board voltage regulators, which ensure solid performance during the most demanding applications.

Output capacitors provide necessary instantaneous power when the servo demands peak currents. For the safety of the mirrors and laser system, built in protection circuits provide soft start/stop operation, over position, open circuit, AGC fail and over/under voltage protection. The QD-1500 can be configured to accept several input command voltages (+/- 3, 5, or 10 Volts). It can also be configured with an optional 16-bit digital front end or PC interface.

The QD-1500 servo can accept input power ranging from +/- 15 to +/- 24 Volts DC. An output port provides diagnostic signals such as position, error and velocity along with a ready/fault output signal and a remote enable input signal. On board status LEDs quickly alert service technicians of servo status and faults. All NTI servo drivers are tested and tuned to your specifications with a matching galvanometer and mirror.
