Two Systems for Excimer Laser Micromachining?


Optec offers two standard UV micromachining systems. Both systems are excimer-based mask projection micromachiners, for high quality micromachining of a wide range of materials, thin films etc.

Optec MicroMaster is a high specification, multi-function, reconfigurable, small footprint workstation, and includes excimer laser, sophisticated beam delivery optics, precision part motion, & flexible control software.

Optec ProMaster is a complete budget micromachining system with special BDU built on the the laser front end.

  • MicroMaster has fully variable UV demag.;- ProMaster is fixed X10 demag.
  • MicroMaster depth/focus control is motorized;- ProMaster is manual
  • MicroMaster takes several different and interchangeable mask options;- ProMaster has just 32- motif motorized selector( MVA in development)
  • MicroMaster has additional off-axis vision system;- none on ProMaster.
  • MicroMaster has motif highlighting;- none on ProMaster
  • MicroMaster has s/w energy control;- ProMaster is manual
  • MicroMaster has 200x200mm X,Y travel;- ProMaster is 100x100mm.
  • MicroMaster offers motorized theta option, and associated s/w routine for auto-align to part fiducials;- ProMaster has standard manual theta.
  • MicroMaster has twin screens for CCTV & PC control;- ProMaster has single flat screen with incrusted image.
  • MicroMaster offer different gas control options;- ProMaster has just coaxial debris control nozzle.
  • MicroMaster has more space for large parts.
