laser mechanisms

Utilizing the latest computer hardware and computer-aided design (CAD) software, including Pro/Engineer, Lasermech's Engineering Design Team is able to engineer the highest quality beam delivery components available on the market today. Laser Mechanisms maintains an extensive network of manufacturing partners for the fabrication of all beam delivery components. These partners are continually re-evaluated for their conformance to Laser Mechanisms’ stringent manufacturing standards for precision machining and quality control. All Laser Mechanisms’ parts are 100 percent CNC machined and part tolerances are maintained within microns. By maintaining a high standard for manufacturing precision, all Laser Mechanisms’ parts deliver unmatched repeatability, durability and reliability.

Targets & Tools
Various tools and targets are available for use with Laser Mechanism's components for the purposes of beam alignment, optics insertion and removal, and system set-up.
Details and specifications >

  Adapter Clamps
Adapter Clamps are used for attaching beam path tubes to other beam delivery components. The slip-tube arrangement allows for length and angle adjustment.
Details and specifications >

  Beam Benders
Beam benders are used to direct the path of the laser beam to a desired location through reflection off an internal mirror. Adjustment capability is also provided to properly align and steer the laser beam. Interlocked and non-interlocked versions are available.
Details and specifications >

  Beam Path Tubes
Beam path tubes are used to enclose the laser beam in the pathway between components. These serve a safer purpose in preventing objects from contact with the laser beam and also prevent contamination of the beam from airborne particles and debris.
Details and specifications >

  Beam Splitter and Combiner
Beam splitters divide the laser beam to allow a single laser to deliver to two locations at the same time - known as energy-sharing. Beam combiners allow a second light source to be introduced co-axially with the laser beam.
Details and specificiations >

Collimators
Collimators are used to change the size of the laser beam, either to create a desired spot size, or for controlling the beam diameter over long distances. They can be transmissive (using lenses) or reflective (using mirrors). Various expansion ratios are available.
Details and specifications >

  Diode Pointers
Diode Pointers provide a safe method for alignment of the beam delivery system by introducing a visible (red) light into the laser beam path. Also allows the user to safely verify the location of the laser beam in part set-ups.
Details and specifications >

  Gas Jet Manifolds
Gas jet manifolds serve the dual function of providing an inlet for the process assist gas and holding the focusing lens. They provide adjustment for the tip stand-off and include a pre-mounted focusing lens of a specified focal length.

Details and specifications >

System Mount Feet
These feet provide a method for securely holding processing heads and other beam delivery components. They are designed to seamlessly integrate with our standard outer diameters. Various stand-off distances from centerline and mounting bolt patterns are available.
Details and specifications >

  Vernier Adjust Spacer
Vernier adjust spacers allow for fine focus adjustment of the lens to the material. When the vernier barrel is rotated, it raises (or lowers) the lens by 0.05 inches per full turn. A reference scale and position locking device is provided.
