Photonics Industries’ DX and DC Series nanosecond lasers are built upon 30 years of pioneering intracavity harmonic generation technology. These systems are specifically engineered to meet the most demanding industrial production criteria, from precision micromachining to high-throughput manufacturing.
For high-production environments, the DX Series offers tailored pulse characteristics across three distinct sub-groups to ensure maximum adaptability. The DX Short Pulse Series excels in precision semiconductors and microelectronics, offering repetition rates up to 1 MHz and pulse widths as short as 10 ns. Meanwhile, the DX Air-Cooled Series provides an unmatched balance of power and efficiency for applications including semiconductor processing, delivering up to 20 W of green power in an ultra-compact footprint.
The DX Long Pulse Series is engineered for industrial systems requiring thermal-focused or deeper depth microprocessing. These lasers offer pulse widths from 60 ns and pulse energies up to 1 mJ at 40 kHz, making them ideal for high material removal rates during wafer dicing, diamond cutting, and sapphire marking. Their water-cooled design provides the thermal stability necessary for consistent performance during heavy-duty material removal tasks.
The DC Series of Nd:YLF nanosecond lasers are designed to bridge the gap between high pulse energy and high repetition rates. Operating at wavelengths of 351 nm and 527 nm, these lasers provide mJ pulse energy levels within a compact, air-cooled form factor. This combination makes them a trusted tool for specialised applications such as 3D printing and high-energy microprocessing of printed circuit boards.
Every DX and DC laser benefits from a true TEM00 output and unparalleled beam stability over long operating periods. Advanced control features such as Dynamic Pulse Energy Control (PEC) and Position Synchronised Output (PSO) allow for the laser output to be tailored precisely to specific material requirements. Furthermore, the patented intracavity harmonic generation technology ensures no damaging indexing on harmonic crystals, significantly extending the operational lifespan and reliability of the hardware.
Designed for seamless OEM integration, both the DX and DC Series feature all-in-one (AIO) form factors that simplify the complex setup of industrial workstations. With tens of thousands of units delivered worldwide, these lasers are a proven solution for industries spanning from medical and defence to scientific research. Their low cost of ownership and rapid warm-up times from both standby and cold starts ensure maximum uptime for critical production lines.
