Precision CO₂ Laser Marking for Non-Metal Materials

The SISMA SMARK CO₂ is a professional Class 1 CO₂ laser marking and engraving system designed for high-speed marking of plastics, wood, paper, glass and other non-metal materials. Combining precision, reliability and a compact footprint, it provides manufacturers with a versatile solution for permanent marking across a wide range of industries.

Precision CO₂ Laser Marking for Non-Metal Materials

Professional CO₂ Laser Marking

Unlike fibre laser systems designed primarily for metals, the SISMA SMARK CO₂ is specifically engineered for organic, inorganic and polymer-based materials. Equipped with a high-performance 30 W CO₂ laser source (10.6 μm wavelength) and precision galvanometer scanning head, it delivers fast, accurate and permanent marking on plastics, wood, paper, cardboard, leather, glass and selected rubber materials. Its enclosed Class 1 safety design, spacious working area and motorised Z-axis make the SMARK CO₂ suitable for both standalone production and integration into industrial manufacturing workflows. Optional accessories including the Coaxial Vision System (CVS), rotary axis and different focal lengths provide additional flexibility for marking cylindrical components, packaging, promotional products and industrial parts with outstanding repeatability.

The SISMA SMARK CO₂ is designed for high-quality laser marking and engraving of non-metal materials across industrial manufacturing, product personalisation and packaging applications. Unlike fibre laser systems, the CO₂ laser source is optimised for plastics, wood, paper, cardboard, leather, glass and selected polymer materials, producing permanent, high-contrast markings without physical contact.

Typical applications include product branding, logos, serial numbers, QR codes, barcodes, packaging identification, promotional products, wooden components, plastic housings, labels and decorative engraving. Its precision optics and optional vision-assisted positioning ensure consistent, repeatable results for both prototype and production environments.

You ask, we answer

A CO₂ laser is best suited to non-metal materials such as plastics, wood, paper, leather and glass, whereas a fibre laser is primarily designed for marking and engraving metals including steel, aluminium, brass and stainless steel. Choosing the correct laser source depends on the material you need to process.
