If you’re attending this year’s TCT Show + Personalize at Birmingham’s NEC from September 30 – 1 October, then come and visit us on stand C18 first. With 20 years’ experience in the 3D printing sector we have plenty of exciting technologies to show you, plus we’ll be able to give you our recommendations on what else to see to make the most of your time.
The largest event of its kind in the UK dedicated to 3D printing, additive manufacturing and product development, TCT is now in its 20th year and will showcase over 200 exhibitors and dozens of world-class speakers to almost 10,000 attendees from a diverse range of industry sectors.
“Laser Lines has been going to TCT every year since it started, from when it used to be the Time and Compression Technologies Conference – a two-day get-together with a dinner – well before it morphed into the vast exhibition it is today,” says Mark Tyrtania, Laser Lines 3D Printing Sales Director.
With more than 20 years’ experience as one of the UK’s leading suppliers of 3D printers, rapid prototyping systems and 3D scanners, we’ve picked some of the most advanced technologies to bring to the show this year.
You can catch up with us on our own Laser Lines stand (C18) where our 3D printing and additive manufacturing experts will be on hand to share their knowledge and give demonstrations of 3D printing and scanning with a Makerbot Z18, Objet30, Fortus 250mc and Evatronix 3D Heavy Duty Scanner.
As well as that, we are helping to run the Stratasys stand (E14). With a focus on what Mark calls “real world applications”, visitors to the stand can experience three dedicated application areas. The Rapid Prototyping kiosk, the Additive Manufacturing kiosk and the Additional Applications and Industry kiosk focusing on benefits to specific industries including medical, dental, consumer goods.
As the UK reseller, we are also managing the SLM Solutions GmbH stand (G24) of selective laser melting 3D printers, showcasing their SLM 280 alongside other Laser Lines 3D printing technologies.
With so much to explore at the show, Mark says there are many benefits to attending: “You get to see such a broad range of solutions from entry level to the professional in both hardware and software solutions, so even if something’s not immediately relevant to you or your industry you’ll still be incubating ideas that might well be useful at a later date.”
Mark also recommends checking out the conference and seminar sessions at TCT Show + Personalize as a source of inspiration and education across design, prototyping and manufacturing. This year that stage will be graced by leading lights from the realms of industry, academia, consulting and end users, including:
“These sessions are invaluable for anyone interested in the current and future methods of making. Going to these is one of the best ways to get the most benefit out of attending the show,” says Mark.
“It is good to take time to talk to the exhibitors and experts on the stands, but you should
“Also try to get along to some of the keynote speakers and presentations – you will almost certainly glean a little bit more information to take back with you. Our industry is built on lots of incremental steps forward so listening to the best of the best talk about what they are doing helps you really keep up with these things.”
